What led me here...

I have lived in District 10 for 30 years. I grew up in Kansas City and my family spent summers in southern Colorado. After college, I was an English teacher in Chicago and New York before moving to Denver with my husband. While raising my three children here, I became involved in neighborhood issues and discovered my passion for the built environment and how it can improve our overall quality of life. Land Use Planning courses at Metro helped to inform my work. I was first elected to office in May 2003. I am grateful to the voters of District 10 who have allowed me to live out mypassion in service to a great city!
