Safety is the basis of quality of life across the City. I have served on Council's Safety Committee and advocated for numerous safety improvements, including:
- More police overtime on traffic corridors
- A coordinated effort to address crime and disorder on Capitol Hill
- Doubled fines for graffiti vandals
- Budget changes for more police coverage city-wide
- Restrictions on panhandling
- Funding for gang prevention and enforcement
